Factory Farms and our Climate

"According to the 2007 report by the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), livestock generate a whopping 18 percent of human-related greenhouse gas emissions—that's even more than the gas-guzzling transportation industry."

Has anyone else heard anything similar to this? Its the first I have heard of this issue.

  1. Methane is a greenhouse gas that has a very large impact on global warming. It is also a byproduct of digestion in livestock. There has been a lot of research in terms of using low methane producing feeds with livestock. Good post.
